The Tata Punch EV has been simultaneously launched in four cities of Nepal—Chitwan, Pokhara, Butwal, and Bhairahawa. The Punch electric compact SUV was officially introduced by Sipradi Trading in all four cities on the same day.
Launched at the NADA Auto Show 2024, the Tata Punch EV comes with two battery options, with the starting price set at Rs 33.99 Lakh.
The Punch EV comes in three trims: Empowered+ S MR (Rs 33,99,000), Empowered LR (Rs 36,99,000), and Empowered +S LR (Rs 38,99,000).
The Medium Range (MR) model features a 25 kWh battery, delivering 60 kW of power and 114 Nm of torque. The Long Range (LR) model has a 35 kWh battery, producing 90 kW of power and 190 Nm of torque.
The LR variant provides a real-world range of 270-290 km, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 140 km/h. Both versions are IP67-rated for dust and water resistance and come with an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty.
The Punch EV is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree surround-view camera, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and a 10.25-inch Harman-powered touchscreen infotainment system.
Tata Motors aims to reinforce its dominance in Nepal's electric vehicle market with the Punch EV. Their EV portfolio includes the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV Max, and Xpress-T EV.
Speaking at the event in Pokhara, Sipradi's CEO Rajanbabu Shrestha noted that the Tata Punch EV, unveiled at the NADA Auto Show, has received significant demand and bookings across Nepal. He expressed his excitement about formally handing over the keys to customers in Pokhara. He also mentioned the company's focus on strengthening the EV ecosystem alongside vehicle sales.
In the program held in Bhairahawa-Butwal, Sipradi’s COO Rajesh Prasad Giri emphasized the company’s commitment to providing excellent after-sales service.
